About SharkDr.com
SharkDr.com is a U.S.-based operator focused on a small, defined piece of the collector market: authenticated, one-of-one modern great white shark teeth, fossil shark teeth, great white shark jaws, and finished pendants. We are not a souvenir shop. We are not a marketplace. We are a private dealer, working with a small number of long-term sources, listing each piece individually with full photography and the documentation we are able to provide.
What we sell
Modern great white shark teeth — pre-ban era and documented modern. Fossil shark teeth — Megalodon, Otodus, mako ancestors, and other species, from documented localities. Great white shark jaws — full mounted dentitions, available outright or by private inquiry depending on the piece. Other modern shark teeth — mako, tiger, bull, and other species from documented modern channels. Pendants — modern and fossil teeth set in solid metal by U.S. silversmiths.
Every piece is its own listing with quantity one, photographed across multiple angles, measured, weighed, and described against whatever provenance chain the prior owner has provided. When a piece sells, it stays on the site — moved into the public Sold Gallery, with all photographs and specifications retained. The market for legitimate great white material is finite, and the record matters.
Where the catalog comes from
Our sources are domestic. Long-held private collections coming up for refinement; settled estates working through inventory; operators with traceable chains of custody; documented modern channels operating within current legal frameworks. We do not source from any modern shark fishery. We do not work with import-driven supply that lacks documentation. The Ethical Sourcing & Documentation page covers the position in detail.
Each piece moves through our hands the same way: physical examination under magnification, full photography, calibrated measurement, condition grading, sourcing-chain capture, and editorial write-up. Where documentation is partial, we say so. Where a piece has been restored, the restoration is identified, described, and priced into the listing. The lifetime authenticity guarantee is the warranty behind every line of every description.
Who runs the operation
SharkDr.com is operated by a small U.S.-based team with backgrounds in private collecting, marine biology, and natural history dealing. The operator is reachable directly by email and, where appropriate, by scheduled phone call. There is no call center, no anonymous customer-service tier, and no offshore fulfillment. Every order is reviewed by the operator before it ships.
What we will not do
- Source from any modern great white shark fishery.
- Glorify modern shark fishing in any form. Vintage photographs on the History page are framed as documentary record, not endorsement.
- Sell anything we cannot stand behind under the lifetime authenticity guarantee.
- Ship internationally, work with freight forwarders, or assist with export of any kind.
- Hide sold inventory or remove pieces from the public record.
- Disclose buyer identity, mailing address, or transaction price to any third party except as required by law.
Conservation
We support the protection of living great white sharks and the work of marine conservation organizations operating in that space. The catalog represents specimens already removed from the population — overwhelmingly before modern protections came into force, and in a few cases through documented modern channels that do not involve sport fishing of living animals. Selling these specimens to serious collectors, with full documentation, is a different activity from sourcing new material from the wild, and we are firm about the difference. The two activities are sometimes confused; they should not be.
